How To Determine Your Bra Size

To determine your bust size, first measure your torso under your arms just beneath the breasts. For odd numbers, add one inch. Second, for cup size, measure your torso around the fullest part of bust. The difference in inches between the two measurements will give you your cup size:

  • A=1"
  • B=2"
  • C=3"
  • D=4"
  • E=5"
  • F=6"
  • G=7"
  • H=8"
  • I=9"
  • J=10"

Any lingerie shop (online or otherwise) will have a detailed chart to indicate the results of your bra size.

Since You've Got It...

Since You've Got It......flaunt it! But choose the right full figure bra! When you want to wear that low-cut or plunging neckline, you want to get a little extra lift and cleavage from your bra, while at the same time making sure your bra doesn't show. One way to achieve this look is to select a demi-cup bra style. You have many full figure bra options that still look sexy, so shop around and try various brands until you find the one that fits you like a glove!

Bras & Health Risks

Did you know that your bra could be making you sick? Many ladies may be at risk of developing back pain, poor posture, or breathing problems due to the fact that they are wearing the wrong size bra. In order to avoid this problem, it is imperative that you take the time to find your correct measurements to ensure your bras fit correctly.

Testing Your Bra's Fit

Does your bra fit properly? To make sure you are well supported, you need to make sure all breast tissue is fully in the cup of your bra. Here's a trick to test you bra's fit. Bend over, place all tissue in the cup, stand and then align your nipple with the seam of the bra. Once you're aligned, you're fitted!

Bust...Or Bust

Women's busts are larger than ever, with the average bra size now 36C compared with bra sizes of 34B ten years ago. New research, however, shows that approximately only 10% of women wear a bra that fits properly. Many women admitted to resorting to a range of desperate measures to get the chest shape and larger breasts they wanted. In one study, approximately 18% said they had modified their bras by sewing cups together or using safety pins to make them fit more comfortably.

Look Sweet In That Sweater

Fitted sweaters are a great way to show off your figure. Try wearing a seamless plus size bra. Knits will tend to be clingier and show every seam, line or wrinkle of your undergarment or bra so seamless bras are a great option because they do not reveal any lines or seams. You want the world's attention on you, not on unsightly bumps and seams caused by the wrong bra!

Going Backless

When you wear a strapless or backless gown or top, finding a bra that doesn't show while still offering sufficient support can be a serious challenge. There are two options for going backless; you can either wear a long line strapless-backless bra or a convertible backless bra. This will depend whether you can wear shoulder straps. One more possibility would be an adhesive bra that has under wire support.
